About Benoit de Larauze

benoit_atelier.jpg Born in France, trained as a traditional cabinet maker in one of the most famous european school for three years (Saint Luc de Tournai), developped a restoration and conservation studio in Paris- quartier du Marais, was notably involved in the restoration of pieces from the chateau of Versailles.

Spent ten years in the United States working extensively for private collectors, antique dealers and interior decorators restoring high quality antique furniture and designing and making custom pieces. Member of the American institute of conservation.

Today, living in Paris, he offers French custom excursions within the Paris area or province allowing a large number of public such as: antique dealers, decorators and collectors.

In his studio, west of Paris he designs and make quality antique reproductions and custom made contemporary pieces.

He also offers classes on traditional furniture making, restoration-conservation techniques and principles as well as wood carving and marquetry.
